What does Capitalism Mean to you?

What does the Term Capitalism mean to you? If one thinks of the world democracy as synonyms with capitalism then you will know the meaning of the term. The definition of the term capitalism is open competition in a free market society. Today though with the failings of a free market due to the lack of openness between currencies there is a need for new markets. With these new markets come new forms of communication. The internet is one form of open communication. Online business is starting to shape everything from Online Trading to small Mom and Pops shops springing up in a virtual environment. Now that the internet has succeeded in opening new channels of communication along with new niches for everything from Ebooks to online purchasing power, the term Capitalism will not be the same. Although with the still stubbornness of a true “Free Market Society” the internet is not the key to the future. If we as a human race acknowledge that the same currency that fuels life, also fuels capitalism then can we come to a true capitalistic environment. Once again the term Capitalism as being defined as: open competition in a free market society; applies to other terms such as democracy. If we as a population open the market up then truly open competition will also prevail because of the reflexivity of the terms used in capitalism. The World Wide Web has opened many doors to people and enhanced are ability to communicate more efficiently with one another. With this new openness between people can democracy flourish? Hence when democracy flourishes so does capitalism. Just a Little bit to Maul over!
